What would i need to record myself?

Im planning to record my self singing sumthing. and then the next time some one pushes a button or sumthing it will play it back. If i remember correctly they have hallmark cards that record something and the next time someone opens the card it repeats it. thats one idea but just something to record myself. how much would it cost. and what would i need?
