Do you think Tiger's problems are steroid-related?
First let me say I'm not even a golf fan (not a hater either, and I appreciate the skill involved--it's just not my thing), so I'm not trying to fire people up on either side. I'm just genuinely curious what people's opinions are. A little while ago I heard a sports radio host suggest this. I don't even remember who it was--if it was Dan Patrick. Colin Cowherd, or a local guy. He wasn't necessarily making accusations, but he pointed out what a lot of people seem to overlook--or at least, what I haven't heard a lot of sportscasters say. Basically that for a long time Tiger was not only unbelievably dominant, but fitter than a lot of other golfers (granted it seems like a lot of golfers have gotten in better shape of late, but you have to admit Tiger was ripped when most of them were kinda lumpy haha). Of course working out doesn't equal steroid use, and Tiger was never even that big. Not suspiciously big, at least. But then he just started completely falling apart--knee problems (sometimes a hallmark of steroid users) and who knows what else. I haven't kept up with the latest news, other than knowing he isn't going to play in the US Open, because like I said I don't really follow golf. I hate to accuse a guy with zero proof, but it does seem at least worth some interest that he was so dominant for so long and then suddenly starts falling apart. Especially since golf isn't a contact sport or anything (I'm sure you can injure yourself swinging if using improper form, though I don't play so I'm not that familiar with it), but I'm just saying it's not like football or basketball where you're getting knocked around by 220 pound guys so injuries are expected at some point. Just curious to hear what other people think on this topic.
