Are all puzzles of the same picture manufactured with the same sized/shaped pieces?

If I had a puzzle that was missing a piece or two, could I buy the same puzzle and use the pieces from the 2nd puzzle for the missing ones of the first? (the puzzle is from Hallmark/Springbok and has a copyright date of 1995 on it. It has 1500 pieces)
